FOG OVER LONDON

RUGBY, December 23. In parts of the London area, the fog last night became thicker than, for many years and in some pmces the
range of visibility was oniv three or
. four feet. A moderate tog continued I to-day, giving place to light rain m some areas. Similar conditions were experienced in many parts ot England, especially in the Midlands and the East Corfst, although the southern counties and coasts experienced bright sunshine throughout yesterday and again to-day. While vessels were held tip in the Thames Estuary, visibility was quite good at Southampton nnci at Hull. The fog overhung London and suburbs for three days. After causing trouble and delay to incoming workers this morning, by late afternoon traffic conditions were normal, but local mists at Croydon prevented the arrival or * departure of air liners.
