MURDER MYSTERY
ITALIANS. BAFFLE POLICE
(Australian Press Association) ' SYDNEY," December’ 21
Revelations, in- connection, with the inquest, on Domenico Belle, who was murdered at Newtown last February, show that the crime, for which no individual has yet been brought to book, arose out of the activities on the Oamorra, an Italian secret society branch in Sydney. Documents implicating certain Italians have come to light, but as those affected have not broken any- Australian law, the authorities are powerless to “deal with them. The Federal Government wRI probably take steps! to enable the deportation of the persons associated with the Cammorist activities. At present the police are seeking for Belle’s murdered in'the face of a sinister, trucul"erit silence among the dead man’s companions, whose attitude is practically one of defianoe daring the police “to keep out of this, or there will be trouble.” . •
