According to an announcement made by the Acting Prime Minister Mr Ransom, this evening an official statement upon the Government’s intentions concerning future railway; line construction will be made in the next few days. The suggestion that the Government had been considering the cessation of activities on one or two lines under construction was referred to Mr Ransom, who said that although he was not prepared to say anything at the moment, at statement would be issued in the near future.
