THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES
OIL IN NEW ZEALAND,
The search for oil in the Taranaki district had reached a most interest- 1 . mg stage. Oil had been located from r time to time, ibut on the whole' the results to date had been disappointing^ though at the same time giving encouragement to further efforts.' Perhaps some might not be aware that over 1,000,039 gallons of oil had been won from the Taranaki district alone, and who was to say that with the improved machinery and methods now available there would not be very much greater results in future?
