SUPPOSED SUICIDE. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.' WANGANUI, December 19. Ronald Davidson, 42, a chemist, unemployed, living at Wanganui East, died suddenly, supposed suicide, this morning. BANKRUPTCY. AUCKLAND, December l&. In the bankruptcy of Ewan Win. Alison, junr., and his wife, it was shown at the creditors’ meeting, attended by thirty creditor’s, that £65,317 is owing to secured creditors, the chief being the Bank of New Zealand £33,522, while the estimated value of the securities is £129,887. The amount owing, to unsecured creditors is £4,023, and other liabilities total £255. The Official Assignee, who at the wish of creditors, obtained a report on the estate from the accountant supervising it, said there were many properties under mortgage, but the report did not show the present realisable value. Any valuation they might get would be problematical. It was decided unanimously to facilitate a discharge from bankruptcy. ,

SOLICITOR GAOLED, WELLINGTON, December 18. A sentence of three years, with hard labour, was imposed by Judge Ostler to-day on Frank Fabian Wills, solicitor, who had pleaded guilty at Wanganui to seven charges of misappripriating clients’ money. in asking for utmost clemency, Mr W. J. Treadwell, the prisoner’s counsel, said that, with two exceptions, Wills’ dealings with •the clients principally affected were in perfect order. Wills was a. married man,' with -a lamijy of seven;, and felt his position - very keenly. Judge Ostler said that .lie could see no extenuation tfor the prisoner’s conduct, as he must have realised the gravity of the offence, and the inevitable consequence. He imposed a sentence o'' three years with hard labour on each count, the sentences-to be concurrent.

OUTSIDERS ATTRACTED, DUNEDIN, Dec. 18. MOTOR. CYCLE CRASH. TWO PERSONS KILLED. HAMILTON, Dec. 19. The driver of a motor cycle was killed outright and a passenger in the sidecar was admitted to. the hospital in a serious. condition a.s the result of a motor cycle crashing on the Hami 1 ton-Cambridgo road in the early hours of this morning. The motor cycle was returning from a Cambridge dance and in passing a vehicle negotiating a corner, three miles from Cambridge, it careered oil, running off the road and capsizing.

The driver of the motor cycle Harry Arthur Hoooer, aged 30, surde. n news agent of Hamilton, was killed outright. One passenger in the sidecar. Iliomns Kelly, aged 26, a hoot maker, of Hamilton East died in the hospital from a. fractured skull. Miss Horne, also in the sidecar, escape uninjured. . •
