ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. CHRISTCHURCH, December 17. Prices generally showed a further decline to-day at Addington. There was a large yarding ot fat cattle, including North Island consignments. Handy weight steers were firm arid heavyweight and inferior were easier. The market generally was irregular. Extra, heavy steers said to £lB 12s 6d, prime £ls 5s to £l6 ss, medium £lO 10s to £l2 10s, light £9 15s to £lO 15s, extra heavy cows to £ls 12s fid, prime £7 10s to £9, medium £6 to £8 ss, plain from £3 ; extra heavy heifers to- £ls 2s 6d, pi'line £9 10s to £ll 10s, medium £7‘lss to £8 15s plain from £6 os. - There was a small yarding of store sheep, and not sufficient to form a basis of values. There was little enquiry. There was a smaller yarding ot fat sheep which were unattractive, with .few choice lots. There was little change in values. Extra prime heavy wethers to 26s 4d, prime 23s fid to 25s 6d, plain 1.4 s 6d to 18s, inferior from 11s 6d; extra prime owes to 22s 4d, prime 18s to 20s,- medium 15s 6d to 17s 6d, light. 12s to 15s, inferior from 9s 6d.

, Fat lambs were in good demand at an advance on the late rates. To-day’s -sale .represents' the ’Xmas market. Extra good lambs 26s lOd, prime 23s to 24s fid. - medium 20s to 21s 6d, light from 16s fid.

There was a smiller yarding of fatpigs and rid increase in values. The average for porkers was 35s to 48s. heavier to 53s fid. average per lb ‘fid to 6fd, baeoners 55s to £3 10* -heavier to £4 2s fid, average per‘lb s'Jd to 6\d; choppers from 50s.
