DOUBLE TRAGEDY

At the inquiry into the La Perbuse tragedy, cabled on November' 24, the Coroner returned a verdict ’that the engineer, Oslinder, aged 29, died from a bullet wound either accidentally or wilfully inflicted by Winifred Ryan, who committed suicide by - shooting herself some time later" while temporarily deranged. The Coroner said there were many people who belived that the * girl 1 shotOslinder to; -.avoid being outraged, - ,but ’the evidence disclosed tha't the girl was of a' strange' temperament. That she had .described herself as a man hater. ; .
