Preliminary plans for aviation, routes involving Europe and Asia are anno u need to-day. following a canler■fiv»e between Post Office officials of United Stales and Canada, who discussed a, scheme to develop ;t route from 'Calgary, Alberta, into Alaska, and thence to Asia.
It was agreed that unless Canada and United States joined in the development of an Asiatic route, serious competition might come from Russia in a few years.
The Asiatic service is likely to ho inaugurated in three years. It is announced that a programme is now under way in United States to develop Atlantic air mail via Bermuda and Azores. ,
