SIR W. ROBERTSON’S TRIBUTE

When unveiling the Holywood war memorial at Southampton, to officers and men who fell during the war, and whose graves are unknown, including those whose vessels were mined or torpedoed, the veteran soldier, Sir William Robertson, referred to Lord Kitchener, whose name figures on the first panel.
Sir W. Robertson described him as the principal organiser of victory, who alone saw that the war would be one of long duration, and was the most autstanding trusted personality in the Allied War Councils.
“Lord Kitchener never disclosed, within my experience,' the ruthless and domineering disposition which isome attributed to him,” said Sir W. Rob--ertson. .
