"Addington stock market. *cfi It J STOHt JROH ’ 1 .December 10. There was a general drop in prices for live stock at to-day’s Addington sale. Beef : —There was a large eiftry of fat cattle, mostly cows. There was a drop in values from 20s to. 30s. -Extra heavy steers sold at £2O 12s 6d, prime £ls to £l6 os, mediuxp £ll to £l2 155,. light £9 15s to £ll os extra heavy .d^vs'tOi£l4.l2s 6d, prime £8 to £9 10s, medium £6 to £8 os, plain from £4; extra heavy heifers to £ls 2s 6d, prime £lO to £ll os, medium £8 10s to £9, 10s, plain from £6 ss. All classes of store cattle were earier. Fat Sheep :—-There was a big yardi ing and values' were easier. Light wethers met with a fair demand. Extra' heavy prime wethers sold at 27s <10(1,. prime heavy 22s to 25s 6d, prime 18s to 21s 6d, light 14s to 17s 6d ; inferior'Us to 13s; extra heavy ewes to 20s 4d, prime heavy 18s to- 20s, prime 15s to 17s 6d, light from 7s 6d. Fat Lambs.—About fifteen hundred were penned, mostly prime quality.. Values were lower by 2s to 3s per head. Sales were hard to make at tire closing stages. Best lambs sold lip to 25s TOd, prime 20s 6d to 235, medium lfils'Od to 20s, light 15s to 18s. ; Pigs: —There was a heavy yarding of fat,pigs. Values for pork dropped 8s per head, and for bacon up to 10s per head was the fall in value. Tire average for' porkers was 35s to 48s, heavjqr.: 48s to 58s 6d; average price per pound,, 8d to' 7d ’ Bacbners sold at 55s to £3 ids,' hea-Vy £3 lSs to £4 2s 6d; average! spi to 6£d per }b.
