RADIO PROGRAMME
(Supplied by the Radio Broadcasting Company of N.Z. Ltd.) MONDAY, DECEMBER Bth. The Singing Circle of the Pioneer Club, together with the Orchestrina, will provide tlie whole of the programing for 2YA’s concert this evening. The vocal items by the Singing Circle, will comprise glees, trios, duets and quartettes, the soloists, being Misses Nora Grqy and Ella Fair, and Mesdantes Phyllis Ramsay, Dane Carrington, and P.’ J. Town ley. Tlte male vocalists will be Mr Colin Gray and Mr J. M. Goodson. Conductor R. J. Estall. of the Wooltson Band has arranged an excellent programme for presentation at 3YA. The vocalists, will be Mi’s Graham Jameson (mezzo-soprano) and Mr Malcolm Miller, (bass baritone). On 4YA’s programme, there will be much variety. A new radio performed, Muss Lucy James (contralto), will take part. Other artists of very high calibre are also on the programme Mr C. S. Hawes (baritone), Miss Blackman (soprano, representing the latest theme song hits), Mr J. B. Hamilton (tenor) and Miss Ngata Bpswell (elocutioniste). The complete. instrumental section of this programme will be provided by the Kenz Ovpheans, Silent day. at IYA. TUESDAY, DECEMBER. 9th. This evening the IYA Broadcasting Choir, will present “St. John’s Eve,” an old English idyll, composed by Sir Frederick Cowen and dedicated to the people of Melbourne, Victoria, to mark bis assoei ation with the Melbourne Exhibition of 1888-9, when he conducted the famous choir. In the second portion of the orogrammo. Miss Daphne Higram. violinist, will play, a trio (Misses Gwladvs Payne. Oathleen Mulqneeq and Mr H. S. Pofflev) and Mr T jen Barnes, baritone, will sing. A bright and varied programme to bo, broadcast from 2YA, will be given bv the Salon Orchestra, the Melodic Four, Mrs R. S. Allwright and those popular entertainers, Mr VMill Mc.Ke.bn and Miss Maisie Oakes. The Homo Science talk from 4YA to-morrow afternoon by the Home Science Extension Department of Otago University will be op “How to Bring out your Best Points.” Silent day at 3YA.
