The Salvation Army’s youngest recruit, Marion Ruth, the throe months old, eleventh grandchild of General Higgins joined up to the accompaniment of hymns and prayers at Wimbledon Citadel. She played cheerfully with grandfather’s eqaulets as l ltC a skied the congregation to keep her from intoxicants, tobacco, finerv, wealth, hurtfull reading, and worldly acquaintances;
During the. closing prayers she hurst into tears and was handed over to the mother.
