ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. CHRISTCHURCH, December 3. Some lines were easier at to-day’s live, stock sale at Addington. There was a full quota of fat cattle forward, the quality generally being good. Mostly cows were yarded. Values for best steers were maintained. Cows were easier. Extra heavy steers sold at £22 12s fid, prime £l6 to £l7 15s. medium £l2 15s to £ls 15s, light from £l2 15s. Extra heavy cows sold at £l4 15s, prime £lO 10s to £l3 ss, medium from £B, inferior down to £5. Extra heavy heifers sold to £l6 12s fid, prime £ll 10s to £l3 10s, medium £9 15s to £lO 15s plain from £7 10s. There was a smaller yarding of fat sheep, and fewer consignments of good quality, these being mostly medium lots. There was no appreciable rise in values. Extra prime shornwethers sold at 28s lOd, prime 24s to 27s 9d, medium 20s to 23s fid, inferior from 12s fid. Extra prime heavy ewes: Shorn sold to 22s lOd, prime 21s to 22s fid. medium 17s to 20s fid, light 13s fid to Ifis, inferior from 11s fid. Best woolly ewes sold at 22s Id.
There was a good yarding of fat lambs, and an' attractive catalogue, values were maintained. Extra prime lieavv lambs sold at 27s 4d, prime 22s fid to 255, medium 19s to 225, light Ifis to 18s fid.. The average price was 74 cl to 8d per lb. There was an oyer supply of porkers, and values, were easier. Bacon was firm at late rates. The average for Dorkers was 37s fid to 47s fid, heavier to £3 2s 60 the average price being fijd to 7 J ,d per lb. Baconers fetched £3 to £3 8s fid, heavier to £4 Is. extra heavy to £4 13s 4d. Choppers sold from £3 7s fid to £6 ss. Store pigs jvere in keen demand. Store cattle were selling on a lower basis.
