ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE.
Messrs iM. Houston and Co. report: Our entry at yesterday’s sale at the above yards consisted of 68 fat sheep and 33 head of fat cattle which were submitted to a good attendance of buyers. Prices opened firm at the commencement of the sale but eased considerably as the sale progressed and at the close were fully 30s per head below those of the previous sale. Top price £2O 15s was secured by Mr Wm. Diedrichs for an exceptionally well finished bullock which was bought by Messrs Taylor and Cumming. Best ox and heifer beef made from 40s to 44s per hundred and cow beef from 32s to 38s according, to quality. We sold as follows:-—On account of T. Staines 66 fat sheep at 20s fid: on account of client 2 aged ewes at 11s Cd ; on account of W. F. Diedrichs 2 bullocks at £ls 15s, 1 at £2O 15s, 2 at £1.5 10s, 2 at £l3 15s, 1 at £l4 10s. 2 heifers at £l2 os, 3 at £ll Its 6d. 4 bullocks at £lo 7s 6d. 1 at £l4 12s fid, 1 'at £l7 15s, 1 at £l6 12s 6d; on account of J. Bradley 1 cow at £i 12s fid 1 at £8 2.s fid. 1 at £9 2s 6d; on account of W. G. HaviH 2 cows at £8; on account of client 1 cow at £8 15s’ ] heifer at £6 2s 6d, 1 cow at £8 10s, 1 runner at £3.
