Butcher’s Boy: Yes’m, first and second division clubs only, tickets sixpence each. ** * * First: When my brother plays on his musical instrument, all the men stop work. Second: Indeed, and what instrument does he play? First; Oh, he blows the buzzer at the gas works. ** * * Wife: Did you notice the chinchilla coat on the woman sitting in front of us this morning? Husband: Er—no. Afraid I u r as dozing most of the time. Wife: L T m! A lot of good the service did you. ** * * A man sat in a fashionable coiffeur’s shop with his little daughter while his wife was having a marcel wave put in her hair. Stroking her father’s gleaming head, the child suddenly piped: “No waves for you, daddy. You’re all beach.”
