GOLD BONUS
LA B( >UR ’ S DEC LSI ON. (Australian Press Association.) CANBERRA, November 27. The Federal Government has decided to pay a bonus of twenty shillings per ounce on all tin- gold produced in Australia in excess of last year’s production. The Labour Party Caucus claims that this bonus will attract millions of English capital into Australia, and will probably also give employment to fifty thousand miners and prospectors. N.S.W. REEF DISCOVERY. SYDNEY, November 27. An official report on the gold dis(overcy in the Yass district, cabled on November 25th, describes the reef found as being from eight to fourteen inches wide, and states that it contains good rich gold. r l lie prospects are most promising.
