TOKYO, November 27

The latest official earthquake death roll gives the, casualties as two hundred and fifty.

Apart from the losses of individuals, /the economic loss is not serious. The industries are not affected. Serious damage was done to the Shimidzu Harbour works, and there has been another expensive setback to the five mile Tanna tunnel. The worst affected city, Mishima, is the chief city in the Izue Peninsula, situated between feagami and Suiga Bays,, about sixty miles from Tokio.
