WINGED ARROWS.
TRUE ART OF BUILDING. This world’s affairs are but the scaffolding of the great temple which God is building and which is to be tilled at last with His glory. 14 we remember, and act on the remembrance, that art, trade, politics, all the departments of human life, are to he made subordinate to God’s great design, then these activities are not only lawful, they are a part of our Christian service ; the scaffolding will some day disappear ,but not till the temple is complete. —IT W. Dale. * -x- -XThe Peace of God comes from the God of Peace. —C. H. Spurgeon. ■X- * * * Truth is within ourselves,; it takes no rise 1 - From outward things, whate’er you may believe. There is an inmost centre in its all. Where truth abides in fulness; and around, Wall upon wall, the gross flesh hems it in, This perfect, clear perception—which is truth. —P. Browning.
