A HOLD-UP,
SYDNEY, November 24
The police expected the killing of Edward Goughian at Alexandria on Friday would result in a lull in gun hold-ups. Early this morning, however, a masked bandit clubbed Dr. Tver in a motor bus, with the butt of his revolver. While the terrified passengers looked on, he snatched the conductor’s, bag and escaped.
A PLANE LOST,
FORCED INTO SEA
ADELAIDE, November 24
Through the accidental turning off of a master switch to the engine, a plane was forced into the sea about a mile from the land. Pilot Binks and a passenger were rescued by officers and men of the steamer Mooltan, The machine, valued at a thousand sterling sank ten minutes later.
SHIP IN TROUBLE

The collier Walla rail was disabled off North Head yesterday at mid-day, between Sydney find Newcastle'. Last night a pilot boat from Newcastle raced to the scene, but the steamer did not need assistance. Apparently the crew had been effecting repairs, Heavy sens arc running, owing to there being a south-easterly gale. If thp- wind goes easterly, the ship will he in danger, as there are two reefs nearby. STEAMER TOWED IN. SYDNEY, November 24. The Walla rail was to wed to Sydney this afternoon. STATE P ARLt AMENT. SYDNEY, Nov. 24. The (State Parliament is opening this week It is expected to adjourn over ’Xmas after passing Supply, and a Moratorium Bill. It is understood that steps are being taken for the early establishment of a State Lottery.
