At to-day’s live stock sale atviAildington, ■ prices were rather, lower. .Beef.—There were 495 fat cattle yarded. Prices were easier. Steer beef was well represented,-light sprts ; selling well. x Steers sold: Hijiivy t<j £2l 10s fid, prime medium £l3 10s to £ls 16s, light £l2 to. £l3 ss;. cows and- heifers,-- - 'extra prime £ls 17s'fid to £l7 12s fid. prime £lO I,os to £l4 10-s, medium;? £8 #s /4o £lO. light £0 to £B. -iA * Mutton.—There were 5,500 fat sheep yaifded. T-kqy we;r« a very mixed lot. The sale was irregular. Competition was dull. Wethers sold: Extra to 26s 10cl, prime 23‘s, to CH,•inedium 20s to 225, light TTs .fyl;to 19s 6d; shorn, prime 24s to 26s Gel, j medium-2Ls to. 22s fid, nisi in l-3s 6d to 19s 6d v ewes;: heavy 18s 6d to 1 23 s 4d, medium iSis fid to 17s 7d, lieht 10s to 12s: shorn ewes, /heavy 19s to 23s 7d, medium 14s fid to 17s 6d, light10s to 13s 6d.
Fat lambs.—There were- 680 yarded. The sale was. irregular.' i Many 'lisrht sorts - were passed. Prior*?. wer» easier. The -best sold to 31s HM. good 2°s ,6d to 255, medium 19s 6d to 25V?, light 16s to 18s.
Store sheep.—There were 4000 yarded. There was a small attendance. There was good oomF'ji'dtinn for Chatham Island wethers. Prices, Were easier all round. Four, six and eight tooth half-bred ewes and lambs sold: Good., 12s 6d to 10s fid. crossbreds Us l.Od, ohl and poor condition 7s to 10s; ewe hoo-amts. in wool 21«. 90s Id and 18s 10d: mixed /sex 1«« and 11s fid: wetherjhdggpts 14s fid .«tid 13s 10d :1 fnu.r-to'’tb 1 fis ■ shnyp.'3ftd: small 8s 10d; Chatham wethers 14s 60 to 17s lid.
