CARS COLLIDE
' ONE MAN KILLED
SEVEN PERSONS INJURED

WELLINGTON, Nov. 18
One man lost his life, and seven other persons were injured, as the result of two cars coming into collision last night on Hutt road. A third ear .shortly after ran into one of the wrecks, hut nobody in this car was hurt.
The mini who lost his life was Alfred J. Wiggs, of 136 Abel Smith Street.
The injured are Mr and Mrs Jorgenson, of Victoria Street, Lower Hutt. Jorgenson has slight injuries and shock, and his -Jvife was badlv hurt on the head, and leg and bodily injuries. Wallace, cuts on head and leg injured. .Miss Hinds, head and leg, and bodily injuries. ,
Henry Bigham, of Rakau Road, Haitaitai, cuts on head and le^s. Miss Findlater and Dr Christina Findlater, shock. At about 1.46 a.m., a car driven bv Ann Findlater, a dentist at the public hospital, having as passengerls her sister, Dr Findlater, and Henry Bigham, were proceeding towards Hutt Viilley. came into a head on collision, near Ngahauranga with a car driven by Wiggs who had as passengers, the Jorgensons, Wallace and Miqs Hinds. Both cars were badly damaged and much of the injuries of the passengers was caused hv glass. 'Wiggs died on the way to the hospital in an ambulance. Shortly after the collision, a car driven by Mrs Eva Divan ran into one of the wrecks. Her car was damaged but she was uninjured.
