At tW Presbyterian Church Oliakune on Thursday November 6th, a very pretty wedding was solemnised when Edna May, eldest daughter of Mr .Cowley of Henderson, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Friedridf James, eldest son of .Mr and Mi's Nelson Ranger, Toh angst Road, Ohakune. The Rev. Nightengale officiated and Mrs SethSmith presided at the organ. . The bride who was giveri away by Mr T. F. Oalton, in. the unavqidiable absence of her father, looked very charming and was prettily dressed in white georgette of ankle length with wedding veil caught round her head
with "ora ftge * blossoms. She carried a

The tables • were beautifully decorated with rqsg .and stocks-and the room adorned with pink and blue streamers. The wedding cake was a credit to the maker viz Mr H. Curran. Mrs Ranger,- dressed in brown wool crepe de chine with bonquet to tone welcomed the guests. Among those present, were Mr and Mrs Calton and Mr and Mrs Cooper, grandparents of the hridegrpom; also Airs P. The wedding pie-, sents were numerous and costly. The bride’s travelling dress was a brown tweed costume, bhi© bat and shoes and stockings to match. The happy couple amidst showers of confetti and good wishes left by the morning train South where the honey moon will be spent and finally take itp their residence at Hokitika where the bridegroom is an officer of the State Forest Service.
