MR LANG’S INTENTIONS

Among the first policy bills of the new State Parliament will be one to amend the Arbitration Act securing effective preference for unionists anti the abolition of Loyalist Unions formed within Government services, as a result of the 1917 strike. The Troubles Bill also provides for a general reversion of the forty-four hours week and the repeal of the provision permitting piece work, contracting or any other system of payment by results. 1
