UNEMPLOYMENT ACT
TRADES UNION SUPPORT. (By Telegraph—Press Association). AUCKLAND, Nov. 14. The decision of the Wellington Trades and Labour Council to support the Employment Act was endorsed by the Auckland Trade Council. One Union secretary said the Alliance of Labour had no authority for suggesting that some Unionists would not pay the levy. It could safely be said the national industrial movement would support the Act and probably quarrel with the method of the election of workers representatives later on.
