A meeting of the Executive was held at th© County -Chambers at 7.30 p.m. Present; Air T. W. Duff (voted to the chair), Alessrs W. Wilson, W. J. Butler, N. S. Dew, J). J. Evans, J. J. Mclntosh, W. E. Richards, ami ■J. H. Coles.

Apology was made for .the absence of Dr Teichelmann.

A motion of sympathy was ordered to be conveyed through the parent liody marking the death of the frisi dent, Mr Fleslier. The minutes of the' previous meeting were confirmed, and outward correspondence approved.

The Town Clerk, Kumnra, wrote in respect to providing an aerodrome. — Received. It was resolved to ask foi further information.

The Auckland Weekly offered advert.sing terms for the Christmas issue. —Received. The Rerfton Progress League wrot: in respect to the encouragement of the production of gold—Received and resolved to advise the action taken in the matter earlier; through the Reef ton County Council. . From Department of Industries am J. All - Butler reported briefly regarding the Chambers of- : : Cbmtnbrce con ference at the Hermitage last month Air Dew gave particulars of the proposed train time-table to take effect next week whereby on Tue-sdav, Thursday and Saturday evening, D' express would arrive at (5.4 o’clock, being 16 minutes earlier than at present. Tt was resolved to write and thank the Department frr the concession, and ask that a through Monday passenger train be established both ways over the summer traffic. The meeting concluded at 8.1 ~ o’clock.
