NEW TRAFFIC BRIDGE

AT RIVERTON. INVERCARGILL, November 12. The new traffic bridge over the Aparima River at Riverton which was commenced about two years ago by the Public Works Department, was officially opened this afternoon by Mr Adam Hamilton, M.P. The new bridge is a handsome concrete structure, 440 feet in length, composed of eleven forty-feet spans, and has a footpath four, feet in width. The estimate cost is 4327,800, including roadways of eighteen feet, and it is expected that it will be finally completed under the estimated cost. Two-thirds of this cost is borne by the Main Highways Board nnd the remainder by the. local bodies concerned. '•' _
