DUBLIN SWEEPSTAKE.
(By Telegraph—Per Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, November 13
It is stated the action of British Home Office in banning the Dublin Sweepstake on Manchester November Handicap can be regarded as a gesture only, as tickets have been selling round the world during the last six months and the British Government cannot prevent the sweepstake which is promoted by the Irish Free State Government. It can merely ban tbe sale of tickets, by not allowing the use of the Post Office in the same manner a-s the New Zealand Government shows disapproval of sweeps promoted in Tasmania.
