(To thre Editor). Sir.—“ Old Soldier” writes: —J notice that the Returned Soldiers are holding a reunion on Friday 14th inst. Could you please tell me who are entitled to attend this function/ The above was submitted to the lion, secretary of the local ILS.A. (Mr It. Paterson) who stated that lie was pleased that this question had been raised as there was some doubt among returned men as to whom were eligible to attend. The Constitution of the R.S.A. provides that all soldiers who served overseas with His Majesty’s Forces are eligable to join the R.S.A. and consequently to attend any of its functions. This applies to men who have served in the Boer War, Maori War and the late Great War with either the Imperial or Dominion Forces. Honorary members of the R.S.A. are also entitled to lie present. Mr Paterson stated that if a soldier wished attend the function that it was not essential lie should he a member of the R.S.A. hut he hoped that the Returned Soldiers would make every effort to he present at their re-union, as it is very necessary that they should get together to consider ways and means of helping their less fortunate brenthen, as well as, once again, to meet old comrades and spend a social hour, “For Aukl Lang Syne.”
