AUCKLAND PRESB\TERY .MOVES. (By Telegraph—Proas Association).b AUCKLAND, November T2.V An important step towards the reunion of protestant churches was taken by the Auckland Presbytery which .last night decided unanimously that Anglican, Methodist Baptist arid congregational' church should be invited forthwith to appoint representatives to a Dominion Council to explore the possibilties of a reunion, and that the General Assembly should also recommend Presbyteries to set up local committees to promote co-opera-tion and prevent overlapping. “We are* all trying to do something in. tho same wmy, sometimes very badly and all the time a great drift of ! peo, pie from the churches continues,” said Rev.. Lawson Marsh. Right 'Rev. George Budd moderator of the General Assembly .expressed - approval o'i the advanced step, and said it indicated that the Presbyterian Church was prepared to go a long way. . He felt they were working on. right lines.
