A CUR lONS SITUATION
(Received this day at 11.30 a.m.) ADELAIDE, November 12.
A curious situation has arisen owing to the determination of the Railways Commissioner to proceed with the application of the High Court to have state instrumentalities excluded from the jurisdiction of the Commonwealth Arbitration Court although Cabinet had decided against the application and asked the Commissioner to drop it. It is now suggested tho Government be represented at hearing and oppose the application, which if granted would exclude all employees in public service working under Federal awards SCHOONER, WRECKED. APIA, November 11. Tbo auxiliary schooner Rubra, owned by Cnrrutbers Ltd, of Apia, was totally wrecked at Puknpuka in Danger Island. The emv arrived at Apia this mprning after a five days trip in a small whale boat.
