DELHI, November II
Serious rioting is reported nL Santa! in Parganas District of Bengal. At a mass meeting inflammatory speeches were made urging the people to break the laws. The police arrested the leaders alter breaking up the meeting. Thereupon a- large mob attacked the police, drove them back and rest'lired the prisoners. The Superintendent of Police rallied his men, who charged the mob with bludgeons. The crowd lied taking the prisoners with them. Filly-eight arrests were made.
LIGHT AEROPLANE RECORD
DELHI, November 11
All records for the light aeroplane flight. Europe to India, have been eclipsed by the Frenchmen, Lnllowtte and his pilot Goulette, the owner, who leaving Paris in a Farman monoplane at midday on Saturday arrived at Karachi on Monday evening. Starting at dawn to-day they reached Caleulla via Allahbad ill the evening. The flight was kept most secret, the object being to reach Saigon in five days from Paris and demonstrate the possibilities of a- fast parcel service between Franco and Indo-Chinn,
