TEAM FOR CHAMPIONSHIPS. (By Telegraph—Press Association) INVERCARILL, November 6. At an exhibition here this evening by the Southland team of axemen and sawyers who leave for Tasmania next week to compete at the world championship carnival two record-breaking cuts with a double-handed saw were made by Fraser brothers. This pair whipped through a fifteen inch log in 13 secs. They later defeated this performance, creating the New Zealand record.

The team to represent Southland is as follows:—J. Pont, H. Fraser, R. Fraser, W. Askers, W. Ti Hard' G. Blanks and J. Hunter.
