Nov. 11, 13, 14.—Metropolitan T.C. , V.R.C. MEETING. PHAR LAP WINS. (Australian Press Association.) MELBOURNE. Nov. 6. Plunderer was well placed in the lant round and won the November Hurdles nicely. His trainer, Mr Quinlan, won events recently with Cragford and Mystic Peak. The Now Zealand gelding, Hunt the Slipper, led all the way in the Byron Moore Stakes, and won brilliantly. He shows distinct promise. He was ridden by T. "Webster and is trained by A. Webster.

Phar Lap had a ‘comfortable task in the Linlithgow Stakes. He has now won £45,842 in stakes. This is rider Pike's third win in the race.

Barbette put up a remarkable perform a nee in the Oaks. It lost fifty yards at the start, and then won throngli by a narrow margin. It is trained by the former New Zealander, Lou Robertson. The owner A. F. Wade won on Tuesday with First Arrow.

Barbette’s stable mate, Gav Salute, tried to lead <a-ll the way in tbe Veteran Stakes, but he was caught in the Inst stride by El Rev. This ifl Jockey Duncan’s first win at the meeting.

Pinnacle was eighth at the home turn, but, finishing fast, won the Carnival Handicap nicely. He was ridden hr W. Cook.

The question of arranging an international series of tost raws with Phar Lap in Melbourne and Sydney, is being discussed by racing men. The sectional times in the Linlithgow Stakes were First two furlongs, 25 sees next two, 241; tost four 47.1. The jockey Pike considers Phar Lop could have run the mile in 1.35 to-d.iv if pushed.

The local spring meeting was hold to-day in showery weather, though it was fine at the close. The tote took £.11,809.', against £14,214 last year, a decrease of £240-1 £.
