From R. G. Hill, Wellington, forwarding cheque for deer stalking fee. —'Received. From New Zealand Associated Acclimatisation Societies, giving particulars of research work, and supplying particulars of financial position.— Received.

From James Park reporting on successful prosecution in respect to opossum skins sent out of district irregularly.—Received.

From Daltgety and Coy. reporting on sales of opossum skins whereat 245 Westland skins were sold.—Received.

From North Canterbury Society expressing satisfaction at appointment of ranger.—Received. From C. Hodgkinson, Hawea Flat, enquiring in respect to deer culling contract for the season.—Received and Secretary’s recommendations approved, free ammunition to be arranged. From E. James deferring visit for lantern lecture till advised of North Island itinerary.—Received.

' * GENERAL. Accounts to the amount of £36 15s were passed for payment. A report was received in respect to the overhaul of the water supply race at 'the Hatcjbery, and repair works needed. It was resolved to refer the matter to the Hatchery Committee for attention. Mr Armstrong reported the final of the fry for the Grey Society destined for the Teremakau river would be despatched- in the morning. It was expected the hatching would wind-up about the end of the month.
