CHOCOLATE BEATEN. (United Press Association— By Electrii Telegraph.—Copyright.) NEW YORK, November a. FKiel La Barba gained the decis.on over Kid C hocolate, in their ten round bout here.
La Barba opened' up with a rush, but Chocolate’s defence was good, and he tied up La Barba. The exchanges were brisker in the second round. La Barba scored to the body, and Chocolate scored to the chin. The (former was subjected to an early pasting in the third round, but then La Barba rallied in a sensational manner and - he staggered Chocolate with a two fisted attack. La Barba also held the advantage in the fourth, and he kept his opponent on the defensive thereafter. LATER, In the La Barba—Chocolate contest, both men slowed up in the filth round. La Barba remained the aggressor and Chocolate remained on the defensive in the sixth round, and the negro was jolted' by La Barba’s leit uppercuts just before the bell. Chocolate rallied in the seventh. There was not much to choose between the men in the eight round, and the crowd then hooetl the hugging tactics df both.
Chocolate stung La Barba in | the ninth round during a “slugg'iig bee.” The Cuban was then making a come back, but his foeman gave but little ground.
La Barba, however, clinched the fight in the tenth round with a whirlwind finish, and he clouted Chocolate heavilv to the body.
