MUSICAL FISH.
Scientists are. finding out that fish *> are rather more interesting than was thought. A well-known biologist states that some fish are affected by music. The wrasse was one fish he experimented with, and he found that it would respond to the noise of a lower “C” tuning-fork or to the note “C” made, by an electric buzzer. Plaice, cod, and coal fish were found to be attracted by certain colours or lights, but none of the fish seemed to take any notice of smells, even strong ones like that of artificial mrisk. ■ .... •
