NOVELIST’S MARRIAGE
(United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Nov. 2. A well-known novelist, Rebecca West, thirty-seven years of age, whose real name was Miss Cicely Fairfield, was married to a London banker, Air Henry Andrews. An alternative form of marriage service was used, omitting from the bride’s vows the word “obey,” and substituting “Wilt thou love, honour, and keep him!” The bridegroom, instead of promising to endow with all of Bis wordly goods, said “All my worldly goods with thee, I share.”
