A remarkable feature of the caucus meeting, was the defeat of Air Lysaght in tho ballots for selection of a Ministry.
Mr filing at the close- of the ballots obtained permission to nominate a fourteenth (Cabinet Minister. Having, obtained this, lie nominated Mr Lysaght for the portfolio of AttorneyGeneral.

The Federal Caucus decided, that the Commonwealth Bank bo asked to assist the Government in meeting internal Jldtwis maturing shorty; obo those maturing in other financial years; that the Ministry ask the Commonwealth Bank to agree to the raising of a 1 o;i.o of twenty millions sterling so that works o( a. productive character can he financed; that the increase of the note issue to enable this finance to he arranged, be requested.
