Battered into insensibility by two men who boarded his tram at Botany, Lindsay Elms, a tram conductor, was robbed of his takings amounting to several pounds. He was later hospitailed. The tram had only a few people aboard and before anyone could intervene, Elms wa'n sandand his bag pulled from Ins shoulders.
