EVERYBODYS PICTURES. TO-NicrtT! TO-NIGHT!

t ,Many a movie-struck college student received an opportunity to finally get into pictures in “So This Is College,” screening at the Princess Theatre tonight (Tuesday). Hundreds of students were' used as extras in this Metro-Galdwyn-Mayer all-talking comedy of life on the average college campus, I giving the film an authenticity and realistic feeling to be gotton in no other way. Many of the students showing conspicuous talent for films > established a contact with Sam Wood, the director, which will stAnd them in good stead if later on they look to Hollywood for further laurels. “So This Is College” outlines the life of a student from the moment he steps off the train to the day he says goodbye to Alma Mater The foibles of scholastic and fraternity life are amusingly developed and will give many a fond parent an eye opener as to what son Johnny is laughing at when he is supposted to be studying. Sam Wood, director, used ..a real college campus for many of his outdoor sound locations and the football ground in the j final scenes is jammed with 100,000 cheering spectators. Sally Starr, Wood’s new sOYeen“find,” makes her debut in “So This Is College” and the cast includes Elliott Nugent and Robert Montgomery, who have become instant favourites with focal audiences. Cli# Edwards, better known as “Ukelele Ike,” Max Davidson, Pliylhs Crgne and Dorothy Dehn are also included in the cast. Don’t miss this picture!
