Getulio Vargas, having' entered the capital in triumph at the head of the revolutionary military forces, to the acclamation off the populace, has assumed the provisional Presidency of Bazik
President Vargas announced to-day important items of the policy of the new Government, namely, the dissolution of congress, and reform of the courts. He pomised punishment to all the persons guilty of the criminal use of tlie public funds, but added: “We wreak no vengeance on the •members of the late Government. We have always criticised the persecution .of the late Government, and we are not intent upon laying ourselves open to similar criticism.
