N.Z. ON AUSTRALIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, Octoter 31. The Chairman of the Associated Banks announces, that on and after November first, the following x-aites of exchange, New Zealand and Australia will come into operation: Victoria:—Buying 87s 6c! per cent, discount; selling, 5s per cent, premium. New South Wales:—Buying 87s Gd per cent, discount; selling, os per cent, premium.

Queensland: —90s and 7s 6d respectively; Queensland, North of Rockhampton, 95s and 12s Gd respectively.

South Australia:B7s Gd per cent and os per cent.

Western Australia, Perth and Fremantle:—9ss and 12s 6d; Western Australia (all other places 100 s and 17s.

Tasmania: —87s 6d per cent. is being granted on the buying side on all) ordinary trade transactions, Full rates without any concessions, will be charged on all bills, cheques, etc., drawn on Australia and proceeds o,f which are intended to he utilised for the purpose of buying London exchange from the hanks here, or otherwise.

Transactions involving the investment of Australian funds in New Zealand will also be charged full rates.
