During the evening’s programme from IYA, the String Octet will play several numbers, Miss Adele Taylor (soprano) will be, heard in ballads, the Snappy Three, and Mr J. W. Bailey (humor) will give items. The 2YA programme will be devoted to a relay of the final concert of the Wellington Symphony Orchestra’s 1930 Season.

Contributing to the variety programme at 3YA will be Mr Eddie Hogan (songs with ukulele), the Joyous pair (songs at the piano), the Christchurch Trio, Mr John Lockhart (Scottish humorist), Mr E. G. Williams (trombonist) and Mr Jack Blair (songs at the piano). This evening, 4YA will be relaying from His Majesty’s Theatre, Dunedin, the conceit to be given by the Dunedin Burns Club.

The church services to he broadcast on Sunday evening will be: 1YA —St. Matthew’s Church. Pre ah her Canon G., H. Grand Cowan. 2YA—Vivian Street Church of Christ. Preacher, Pastor, W. G. Carpenter. 3YA—Wesley Church, Fitzgerald Avenue. Preacher, Student W-. H. Greenslade. 4 Y A—Church Christ. Preacher, Pastor W. D. More. MONDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd. Mr C. A. L. Treadwell will broadcast from ‘2YA this evening a talk on h'Tbe Rationalisation of Industry,” aid Mr W. L. Brice will speak from ml ' l I'catluviiL auU Ci.l'o of the Hair.” There will he a W.E.A. talk from 4YA.

2YA’s concert this evening promises to be one of outstanding merit, the vocalists all being artists of high standing with several years of broadcasting experience behind them Miss Gladys Edwards (eoprano), Miss Hilda Chuclley (contralto), Mr Edwin Dennis (tenor)' and Mr S. E. Rodger (baritone). An item of outstanding interest on the programme will be “The Quarrel Scene” from Sheridan’s famous plnv “The School for Scandal.” This will be enacted by Mr Vryn Evans and Miss C. Nicholas who will also be heard in a sketch entitled “I he Hnggage.” The Orchestrina under Signor A. P. Truda, will supply tlm supporting numbers. The band programme for 3YA has been arranged by Mr J. Noble, conductor of the Christchurch Mun'cipal Banj The assisting vocalists will be Miss Augusta Painter (soprano), Miss Myra Pollard meiszo-soprano), Mr W. J. Bischlager (tenor) and Mr Iv. M. Fountain (baritone.) This will be the first radio anpearance of Miss Painter. Miss Lily Kinsella, talented eloeutioniste, will recite.

Miss Mae Matlieson. soprano, will sing at 4YA “Scenes that are Brightest) (from “Maritana”) and two solos from German’s “Merrie England.” Miss Uwenda Burt, contralto will present, in addition to a ballad by Ken-nedy-Fraser, two popular musical comedy solos. The male voices will he Mr Cacliemaille and Mr Stuart Falconer. Miss E. M. Holland will give dialect recitations. .Silent day at IYA.
