PRINCE OF WALES
APPEAL AT LONDON BANQUET. (United Press Association—By .Electric Telegraph—Copyright). LONDON, Oct. 31. One thousand guests attended the Loague )if Nations banquet at the Guild Hall to meet the Prince of ’Wales. It was one of the most remarkable gatherings of the season, representing, as the Prince of Wales said, one quarter of the human race, who had solved the question under the British Crown of disarmament,. and wanted the rest of the world to follow their example.
Hons. Brennan, Parker, Moloney, Forbes and Sir T. Sidev and their wives represented Australia and New Zealand. Lord Robert Cecil presided. He regretted the absence from the chair of Lord Grey, who is suffering from renewed eyesight trouble, Tile Prince of Wales made a telling appeal on behalf of the propaganda of the League of Eations. He described it, as a crusade on behalf of world peace, which was the greatest crusade of all. An immediate response to the appeal was a gift of five thousand pounds from :Sir Louis Baron,
