HIT BY TRAIN

PALMERSTON N., Oct. 80. A motor lorry owned by and driven by Sam Bramberv of Palmerston North, collided with the Palmerston North-Foxton train at a crossing leading - into a factory shortly before midday resulting in the death of; Brambery, The latter and a partner were engaged carting posts "- from Palmetbton North to a farm adjacent to the factory and evidently failed tonotice the brain approaching from behind when he turned to cross the line, (the train struck the lorry by. the door of the cab and the vehicle was carried albout a chain down the line. Bambery was found at the rear of the lorry, the back wheel of which had apparently passed over his head.
