AN UNCERTAIN OUTLOOK. Referring to prospects for the coming dairy season, on liis return fiom England, Air Goodfellow said that tae outlook was extremely uncertain, and that no one could accurately forecast the probable course of the produce market. j. the depression continued, New Zealand would have to be prepared to accept very low prices. He indicated that he would not be surprised to see the butter market down to a considerably lower figure than at present quoted. During his trip to Australia -Mr Goodfellow visited Brisbane, where an important conference of factory directors was addressed. He motored subsequently through the Northern Rivers district, which he had not visited for 20 years. The general opinion in Australia indicated a heavy production I dairy produce. It was estimated that the export surplus of butter would amount to 50,000 tons.
