Travelling down a gradient at. sixty miles hourly the Geneva-Bord-eaux express, drawn by two engines, was derailed near Pericueux. The engines overturned and six coaches left the rails. The leading coach was telescoped. Fifteen bodies including both the engine drivers were recovered. The injured exceed thirty. The accident is believed to have been caused by an obstruction on the line.
