Love of money is at the bottom of all the youthful troubles in “Second Choice,” the absorbing Warner Bros, and V rtfaphone screen play which comes to the Princess Theatre to-night T (Thursday). Dolores Costello, star of the all-talking picture, is—-against the. will of her mother—in love with a poor young man who returns her affection, until' a certain rich girl temporarily alienates him and introduces real tragedy into their lives. Another lover, himself recently jilted, appears on- the scene. When the young man realises his mistake, it is too late. Miss Costello's supporting cast in “Second Choice” includes Chester Morris, Jack Mulhall, Edna Murphy, Charlotte Merriam, Ethlyne Olair, Edward Martindel, Jimmy Clemmons, Henry Stockbridge and Anna Chance. Joseph Jackson did the adaptation of the Eilizabeth Alexander story. Howard Bretherton directed. Also three short talkies. Prices: 2s and Is 6cl plus tax.
