Tlie standing committee of the Min istry of Agriculture ccn-idered the application for marking orders tor butter from twenty-three bodies including Australian and New Zealand Dairy Produce Boards.

Applicants counsel pointed out that blended butter wats sold in England at higher prices than any of its constituents. About ten per cent of New Zealand was blended, forty per cent Australian and eighty-five Russian and European, j The public who were entitled to know the source of the butter, were being misled.

LONDON. October 28

The New Zealand Government has completed the purchase of a new building in the Strand, formerly occupied by the British Medical Association. No decision has been reached whether they will move the. High Commissioner’s office, but in this event extensive alterations would lie necessary. The Comissioner’s office was formerly crowded, but with the reduction of staff, consequent on the suspension.of migration sufficient room has been left.

Mr Forbes is expected to : deal with the whole question, but unless a renewal of migration necessitates re-enlarg-ing tbe staff, the High Commissioner is likely to remain in the present building.
