Some chaps take to a pipe as naturally as a duckling take/? to water. Others there are who never learn to smoke, and often end up by abusing a habit they cannot acquire. But it will take more than the abuse of nonsmokers to put the world’s pipe out! Every year that dawns sees a huge increase in the cousuhiption of the weed, well, why not? Smoking is a cheerful and a sociable habit, and gives pleasure to millions, the world over, every day. But ’ware those imported brands! Many of them are deadly owing to the quantity of nicotine they contain. Different as chalk from cheese are our New Zealand toasted tobaccos. The toanting. rids the leaf of most of its nicotine poison and leaves it pure, sweet and fragrant. You can smoke toasted ’baccy all day long with perfect impunity. There are only four ibrands of toasted: Riverhead Gold, Cavendish, Navy Cut No. 3, and Cut Plug No. 10. And how good they are! You enjoy every whiff! But look out for imitations.— AdvC.
